International Diesel Engine Fault Codes

Navistar International produces the A26 engine, a 12.4-liter engine designed in collaboration with MAN Truck & Bus. The A26 is notable for its parent-bore cylinder design — cylinder walls are cast directly into the block, eliminating liner failures but making rebuild repairs more complex. International fault codes are generally consistent with SAE J1939 standards, but International uses some proprietary FMI encodings for manufacturer-specific fault conditions.
